Reality check.... Target lost it's way after Bob and what's wrong with it goes beyond strategy. Many of the people were brought in for the wrong reasons. Look good (check) MBA (check) Always tell you what you want to hear (check)

Out with the old and in whit the new.

Why shouldn't they? Target will hire again and fresh grads don't have baggage like some of you do.

Well, it's great talent but a low cost for Target. They are paid hourly and Target knows they can get great smarts for a cheap deal. It's a short term gain. Is that transformation, really? If they accept a role, they know it could be a short stint. I know other interns who became FTE's and were part of the layoff. The word on the street is that Target is not a stable work environment.

They like the inexperienced so they can make them believe this is how a business runs....

Yes, really. It's called moving the company forward. Interns are valuable too, and target is dedicated to educating fresh out of college people. They need jobs too. Did you think we were going to lay off people and stay locked at that number and never hire anyone ever again? Hello, transformation. It's happening and it's working.
