Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Hilarious! Target is trying to recruit contractors and FTE's in their technology roles. Good luck finding anyone that would sign up for that!!

FTE - Full Time Equivalent, not 'Employee'... AKA Team Member.

FTE is Full Time Employee.

Technology Services didn't layoff many people, and most of the opens positions stayed open. The 1700 layoffs in other areas were so Target could use that savings to INVEST in technology.... TTS is actually growing.

they're looking to fill positions with contractors and full time employees (FTEs)

Come join the sweatshop.

Target laid off 1700 positions in March. Now they have 350+ positions that they are trying to fill. Who would ever want to go to Target after what has played out in the media?

This post makes NO sense. Recruit contractors and FTEs to do what? If you are already an FTE, what else is Target recruiting you for?

You can Google "FTE"... the first search result is the correct one.

What is an "FTE""?

What Target is going to do is let the dust settle a bit and reevaluate. Then prior to the 5/20 deadline of paying out severance, they are going to start calling people back. If you turn down the request = No severance for you.
