firings started in CA and MD offices on Friday through Monday; NH and NC offices Tues, Wed. International staff last.
Which C-suite execs got the axe? There is zero news within the company. They're doing this in secret but taking sweet ol' time.
The numbers is around 400+ people are being laid off across the board. Too bad the CIO and her cronies are still around.
Seems no one can count in being safe, even some C level execs got sacked. It's a f***ing massacre. We were promised that the only change would be where we get our funding; everything else would stay the same. Yeah, right.
And yet one more. 4.5 years time here for me. The layoff is affecting all organizations, not just former OPNET.
Another one bites the dust. Was let go today.
I just got hit today here in the UK.
Yes, lots of layoffs in the Bethesda (previous OPNET) office. Big focus seems to be on long-timers: Staff that have been there for 11, 13, 16, 18 years
Several numbers are floating around right now. I've heard between 25-30% total staff, but only ~12% engineering. No confirmed announcement of total numbers, just one that confirms the layoffs are happening.
Seems to be focused on Bethesda and the former OPNET group.
is this company wide or just HQ? Any offices being completely shut down?
Its so strange. 2 new people are/were going to join my group today
Because it is happening. Massive layoff. Shiny new management is taking profits...squeezing the lemon...Once a "Great Pace to work" is now offering packages as it fails to prosper. Can't imagine they'll sell a lot of product once the clients understand how little they care for building the company.
How do you know?
It isn't looking good for good ole Harold here. This old dog will have to learn some new tricks, packing up my desk now. Farewell thy neighbors
Yes, it is happening right now.
