Hilarious! Target is trying to recruit contractors and FTE's in their technology roles. Good luck finding anyone that would sign up for that!!
Being recalled is good, isn't it? If being laid off is bad, then getting your job back is good. And it's not surprising, if co-workers bailed or if cooler heads prevailed and realized that some cuts went too deep. It sucks that individuals had to go through the angst of the layoff, but at a minimum they will be able to continue their job search while employed rather than laid off.

I went to a staffing firm and they offered me a contract for a position back at Target in an area that just laid people off. The sneaky stuff Target does to look good to the investors.
Bite me. The role has 20 different names depending on which retail shop you work for. Merch planner is what some places call it. But I guess because when you are a snob it is a presentation expert. Just wanted to let you know for when you get fired again. Also you only need to hit the enter key once. That might cause some issues when you hit apply for your next job if you do it 3 times.

I imagine coming back would depend on if you have another job or have spent the severance? What is a "presentation expert". Is that like an expert in MS powerpoint.
Don't you think they knew this might happen? This may be why they changed the "reinstate" period from 30 days to 90 days. I'm not sure if I'd come back in this situation or not.
I have heard that multiple Presentation Experts were offered back jobs yesterday.
