This policy states TMs are not able to work for Target vendors directly on Target business for two years, however the interpretation of this policy has been extremely inconsistent. I know someone that left and was told by management they could work for vendors on Target business as long as they weren't on Target property. I also know someone that was told by management that they could work for vendors on Target business as long as the former TM wasn't billing Target for the work. Has anyone had any experience getting a formal exception to this policy granted? Has anyone attempted to work for a Target vendor and get stopped by Target?

Thanks you Anonymous90658 - that is encouraging.
YeAh at some point it isnt going to uold up in court if you cant work for a vendor but not at Target as a client.
I have "first degree" knowledge of someone lost in the March layoff who was granted a waiver of the rule and is working for a vendor. There is paperwork involved, and it can take a little time to process, but obviously not too long, if that person has already been cleared. ASK FOR THE EXCEPTION! The worst they can say is "no."
At our severance meeting, it was stated that exceptions would be granted for those let go, but a request would need to be made.
