Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

Smell the coffee?

You dummies that are still working at CHK ... wake up and smell the coffee. Your stock price is horrendous. I would recommend that all current employees, to include Dick Drainer Doug, start polishing your resumes. CHK currently has one foot on a banana peel and the other on the edge of the oil and gas graveyard.

Big cuts are needed at CHK to weather this downturn. Let's hope the cuts are the lingering AKM sympathizes and leaves the employees that are truly loyal and creating value now. Sell more buildings. Close the restaurants. Get rid of the party planners and scale down to a REAL E/P corp.

We'll see how amazing things are when we get down to 14 rigs. We have way to big a work force to support 14 rigs. Big cuts are coming!

Well said 82567. The only reason there still is a CHK stock in 2015 is because of the Dashng Daring Doug (a much more appropriate/accurate triple D moniker). If you're a CHK employee and aren't loyal to the current strategy after last weeks amazing 2014 bonus payout - please do us all a favor and turn in your resignation!

Find an oil stock stock that isn't on the decline you AEP crackhead. Difference is about 5$ billion of cash in the bank for CHK... Granted still too much debt for CHK that was created by the dumbass-criminal-AKM. CHK will survive.... But hopefully we can do another layoff to get rid of the last of the AKM lovers/low lifes. My bet: First headstone in the oil and gas graveyard will be the likes of AEP.....followed closely by Sandridge.

Should bottom out at 8.50.

Give me a break, you'll know the stock is deeply undervalued. Still not as low as when AKM was still in charge. If you're as smart as you think you are, you'd take advantage of this buying opportunity.
