Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

The team leads in product design teams in Aberdeen are to be offered relocation in an effort to move the sustaining and development engineering to a country with a lower cost base. The remainder of the teams will be let go. Notices will be issued at the end of the month. Thus far, statutory minimum redundancy payments have been made to those laid off in the UK and I doubt this will be any different. Just goes to show the retention bonuses many of us get in these roles are nothing but BS geared to keep us here until it's no longer convenient for the company.
