QC has peaked last year. The exec’s know this and they are trying to get as much as possible for themselves, while getting is still good. New market has to bring in $1billion before it will register on the revenue scale. Intel can get into tablets and cell phones, but QC cannot get into PC.

Qualcomm put itself on this trajectory back in 99 when they sold infrastructure to recover 200 million in stock pre-split.

Since then they have given up diversity to concentrate on profit, and big projects like Globalstar and FloTv which were failures from the start were hair brained and run by plutocracy, like it was the old Soviet Union.

The Q has peaked, and going forward it's constant push to cheapen and reduce and offshore headcount as chips are more and more a commodity.

Yeah, let's build a cold fusion plant that transmits power wireless-ly across the QC campus. So, you don't even need to take your phone out of your pocket to keep it charged.

I am sure that QC is not going to let water supply threaten its operation. QC could build its own desalination plant if necessary. In fact desalination plants are being built. So, water is not what is going dry at QC; it is growth. Eroding market share and little sign of new markets mean that QC does not need to have 30k employees. It is ironic that QC will have a new crop of new grads coming this June.

neat! so where will the SD employees move to when the tumbleweeds roll through sorrento valley. should be good for your property values too. Desert Vistas! Lush Wildfires! Act fast, this market is HOT!

CA will run out of water within a year at current consumption rates. Even with rationing, the Q will outlast the water supply

So which will go to zero first. QC market share or SoCal water supply?

It is all downhill from here. Samsung and Apple control the mobile....Qualcomm is going the way of TI,AMD and others
