The original Post to Brian is funny. Are you kidding me? Let;s cut some of these outrageously paid Higher-Ups downtown and give it to the Store and DC workers. They are grossly underpaid for what they do. Especially the store employees. Get a clue HR Person.

I know a few DC SGL's who were laid off last week they were completely shocked because they were told no cuts would be made in the DC's only that no positions open would be filled. A few were people who were expecting to be promoted to open GM positions. The SGL's who stayed are new to the building, make less and are not very experienced. Clearly the ones cut made more so that is why they were let go. I think we will see more issues in the stores because of DC's and stores running barebones. I shop at Kroger and Walmart now they are less expensive where I live and they are properly staffed. The discount was nice but it doesn't help when the store doesn't have what you need or want.
The stores appear to be cut to the bone.
Compare productivity expectations in our DCs to peer companies (AMZN), and you may find opportunity.
The DC GLs I know of run operations a couple days a week but otherwise spend much of their day on Facebook. Just saying.
The jobs remaining at HQ are just too valuable and the most critical piece to the future success of Target. Further expense savings sacrifice is needed at DC's and stores to reward those driving the bus in our twin towers.
The OP is clearly trolling. That being said, stores and DC are already cut to the bone. I hope HR is next to go, and they bring all their bullshit out the door with them.
Are you kidding me the stores are down to one cashier and one guest service person in the evenings and during the day 2 cashiers one guest service people where the floor staff has to cover the registers to take care of all our guests and the floor staff has to put away and zone the floor so don't worry we have already taken the hit. Our hours have all cut if you ask for time off you get no hours for the week. So lets not point fingers at anyone as I think we are working to make the money for the company so you can have your job. No one is sitting drinking coffee in the store except for breaks. I have been through many layoffs I worked in payroll and it is a very stressful time for everyone so pointing fingers who or who not should go is a waste of time if you are that unhappy find another job and if you were laid off I am so sorry to hear but there are opportunities just look.
I think those of you responding might want to check your sarcasm detectors, you might need some new batteries.
Are you kidding me? The stores are at too low of a staffing model as it is. If a 10 - 15 minute wait happens at any register, anywhere across the country, YOUR job in HR is irrelevant.
You clearly haven't spent any time at a DC. There's no fat to cut there. You won't see managers running with coffees from one status to another. You will see a hub of actual work getting done and more concerns about recognition earned than egos stroked
So you're saying that the DC jobs aren't important? It is because of the hard-working warehouse teammates that the products get to the stores to be sold in a timely manner! They are the heart of this business not the useless $70-80,000 a year office jobs out in HQ!
