Apparently they are removing direct reports randomly from people and having them report to the former managers leader.

Randomly selected, demoted. Happening across the company because brian thinks there are 'too many managers'.

Yes, this makes total sense. Smart move. People are not going to continue managing their people without the recognition, so I'd say Target, FIGURE IT OUT.

Get ready for sitting in roles for a long time. With the bottleneck at Manager in much fewer roles, the churn won't be there. That is typical elsewhere, but Target people think they have to get promoted every 18 months. Get ready for a rude awakening.

Yes.... Too many managers at Target.... This is good decision. This should have done long back and Target could have saved huge money.....
