Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Workload increases?

Does anyone have any info about whether the BA role will see substantial workload increases? If so, will pay increase as well? Already working 50-60 hours a week with MCIM so would consider leaving if work picks up even more.

On another note, really upset to see all of the tremendously talented people go. Wishing them all the best of luck.

If you are actually putting in 60 hours of work per week as a Business Analyst at Target, you're doing it wrong. You will soon discover that many of the things that used to occupy your time were entirely unnecessary. You probably spend the majority of your day in meetings you don't need to attend and providing endless status updates to people who don't really need them. This forces you to do your actual BA work after hours. You are working for a very different Targer now. Your workload will certainly change, but it might be for the better.

Seeing MP BAs been moved to other areas. Some MSs are now part of a team that does only item setups and maintenance. Some MSs given multiple depts. A lot of change. Workload will surely increase.
