In 2008 I was laid off after being attracted and even relocated by a big Fortune 100 company. The night of my layoff, I was holding my 4-month old second daughter thinking to myself: "What am I going to do?" and couldn't sleep for 2 days. Seven years later, I can tell you that my layoff was a tipping point in my career and there has been nothing less than extraordinary moments. Had I not been laid off, I probably would be still at that job that I actually didn't love, surrounded by politics and crap. Today I have a better present and future, and I think that my layoff sped things up. Never lose your faith in yourself. Go get the job you deserve!
