I feel sorry for those that have lost their jobs regardless of ones performance were no better than anyone else. Their just like you reading this post an employee. This layoff board hasnt been helpful. One there are idiots that should be banned from being one here. There are individuals who don't share enough details. If you have information share it. If one can read its anonymous. We are using this board to try to get an idea of what's going on. Yep, it's a blood bath. Do us a favor got info spill it or don't post.

When I worked for Target, the people that "networked" the most got promoted. That means informational interviews, get to know's, and statuses. None of which involved actual work. If you did not partake in these silly time-wasters, you "were not a team player" and had "low energy." Target could operate with 50% of their headquarters jobs. It's been a relief to work at a different company and be able to be appraised on my actual work performance.
Frequency can be helpful but be careful. For instance the TNC/Brooklyn Park drumbeat could be just one Merch person posting over and over because they're tired of hearing about Merch all the time.

You just need to read between the lines. Some random post stating "My department got hit" will not help you, just skip that junk. But once in a while there is a gem posted and reading it is time well spent. Also, look at the frequency of posts, for example if you all of the sudden we start getting posts addressing cuts at Dir level in Merchandising, then you may want to pay more attention to it and draw your conclusions. Also, sorry to say it, but your post was poorly written and I struggled with figuring out what you were trying to say.
There is no performance at Target, there may have been a few especially sociable people laid off, but the truly productive will never rise to any measure of success by the Target metric system. F***ing around at work, getting coffee 3 hours a day is performance at Target.
