Not a chance! I didn't like shopping there while I worked there, but thought I should for the discount...

If you stop shopping at Target and hundreds follow, you will have a more negative impact in the community. Target is doing the right thing by trimming the bureaucracy. You must understand that.

Haven't shopped there since the Feb. layoffs. Neither have my family members. Hoping it trickles down, as Target did this all the wrong way. Too many, too soon, too quickly. Was a shame that so many were heavily recruited last year to take positions, relocated themselves and their families, then placed in the Canadian side of operations. Their fault Canada failed? No, but they took the brunt of the layoffs and the blame. Hopefully those let go will be able to find employment. I wish everyone well, but management just missed the mark on this one. Welcome to big business, I guess.

For awhile after I left Target last year, while I was still upset, I went to other stores where I hadn't shopped for years (except Walmart, I would never stoop that low). Well... It didn't take me long to revert to my old habit of shopping at Target because it is still superior to those other physical stores. However, I almost always buy online from Amazon now instead of Target (with no guilt anymore). So nutshell, I still have lots of friends working for Target and if for no other reason, I will still shop at Target stores to support them but when it comes to online shopping, I have to go with Amazon's better experience and prices.

I was apart of the 2/11 layoff. While it has been a little weird going into a Target store, since being laid off, there is no way in hell I will shop at Wal-Mart. Target for me is just cleaner and overall is just a better shopping experience. Through I will probably end up buying more stuff online from Amazon.

It may help that I was already looking as I knew Target was not a long term stop for me. They actually did me a favor, I did not have to repay my sign on bonus and I get to double dip with my payroll end date being 4/18 and the sverance since I already landed a new job.

Your local store employs dozens, if not hundreds, of people...should they be let go too?

That depends on if I am employed and still have my discount. If not, I definitely see a decline in our visits there.
