My husband was pulled into meeting 8:45 with at least 50-75 people in Cisco's org in TTS - just at North Campus. There has to be MORE than 100 in TTS gone today per another poster - SGM, Manager, and BA, PMs were all in this meeting, so the layofffs included all ranks below Director. They were told payroll through May 16th (not the 15 weeks Jodi said in her e-mail), and they have severance meetings today starting at 11:00 to find out details of their individual package. No wonder. This nice director usually says "hi" to everyone, including myself. I ran into him last week, he didn't even acknowledge anyone, he just stared straight ahead in a daze, like a deer in snowmobile's headlights. Wowsers.
Most of the directors knew about these layoffs late last week, but were given explicit instructions not to talk about it. They were told, "They will find out soon enough."
