I kind of hope I'm cut loose. Get out there and find a company who values my contributions versus rewarding a bunch of schmoozers. IMHO that is what is killing Target this culture of doing little and expecting much.

Quit and spare others their jobs.
The way I see it the layoff will be the best way to get away and find something else. If I'm one of the last left I will be busier than the 50+ plus hours I put in now, where do I find time then to research, apply, interview, etc???
Just saying quit crying like a little bitch about it and move on. I was relieved when we found out our department was spared. But for awhile I was very very nervous.
I hope so too. I will be looking for a new job anyway because I don't want to be part of a company like this anymore. I'd love a severance while I do it.
77818 - Troll? Lets meet up and discuss your stellar advice. Seriously, you provide your direction, lets discuss reality. punk.
FFS.....make sure you cut along the vein. Be a martyr why don't you.
77818 - Lets meet.

TROLL
I wish there was a list you guys could add your names to.
I agree too. 20+ years with the company, and I hope to get a "you're done today" meeting tomorrow. I want to sleep in on Wednesday. I'm done. I don't want to be part of the clean-up crew trying to fix this mess. I have been part of those crews after previous Target layoffs. You feel guilty for not being cut. You're mad about who got cut. You're confused(mad) at why certain people got to stay. I'm not sure which is worse. Being told to leave or having to stay.
What are you waiting for? You might as well leave on your own if its so stressful
I hope I get cut too.
Agree! It can sometimesbbe worse for those who stay than for those who get cut. I am almost hoping I do get laid off so I'm forced to get out of a Target.
Ditto. 8 years and I've loved my time but it has changed.
I feel exactly the same
