YOU matter. Please call the number listed below for help getting through this tough time. A layoff is NOT a personal reflection on you. It is an impersonal decision by a business to improve their numbers.
I left Target last year and it was hard. I promise you though, you can get through it stronger and happier. I know, because I did.
I will be thinking of you and wishing you the best.

Please know your worth is more than a job. Let the Lord Jesus carry the worries for you.
It will be okay. God Bless.
You don't know if you're going to be laid off today and if You are it will be okay I heard that people with target experience finds a job really quickly and besides that you'll get severance and unemployment and have plenty of time to find a job I know that's not what you to hear now because is easier said than done but I do believe it...my husband works at target and I am really worry about him too today. But I have to stop worrying it's taking a toll on me I have to leave it all in God's hands.
God bless
Time for some truth and "tough love" here. You're not a failure, and Target's decision to cut jobs isn't about you. The LEADERSHIP TEAM failed after years of missteps, not you. Unfortunately, their bad judgement impacts you and many others. I'd say that you have some deeper stuff going on than just the layoffs. No matter what the outcome is for you, I strongly suggest that you seek some professional help.
Your job does not define you. You do. Lots of good advice above. Rise above it. You will persevere. Regardless. Target is just a company, it does not define you. I am praying for strength for you..and me too.
Sooooo aggressive.
Just a few straight up facts if the worse happens: Minneapolis is only 1 of 2 major cities in the US considered to be at "full employment", so you'll get another job; Everyone will get a minimum of 2 months full pay , plus their same health insurance for 6 months -- after 2 months if you have still not found another job, you are also eligible for unemployment benefits which could be about 2/3 of your current pay for another year. Things will work out fine at the very least and who knows, you may be in a much better situation in the end. I must know at least a dozen people who can tell the story that an unexpected job loss wound up being their ticket to bigger and better things!
The most important thing to remember about layoffs is this is NOT about you. There is nothing you did wrong, this is about numbers for a company. The next thing to remember is that this is just a job, we will have many jobs i. Our life and a job doesnt define us! Stay strong and find someone to talk to, regardless of what happens today!
I was laid off last year. I was worried for few days, later I have realised there is a (wonderful) life outside Target. I am thrilled now for what I am doing currently. Don't worry there will be definitely a door open for you.
Please don't. I've seen friends of mine who worked at different orgs 10+ years. They were laid off. It was hard at first, but they came out SO MUCH BETTER at the end of it. They ALL (yes all) got much better jobs and wondered what ever kept them at the first place to begin with. Your life is worth more than any job. There are plenty of those out there that are probably better.

Please don't think this way. So many talented people lose jobs, this has nothing to do with your worth as a person or an employee. I will be praying for you. You are not alone.
Please talk to someone. Don't do this over a job.
It's not the end of everything. I went to a place where 1000s of people lost their families and lives because of Tsunami. It was no fault of theirs. I know layoff is pretty bad, but just change your perspective, because there are many out there who would trade their life with yours. Stay positive.
Why will this be the end of everything for you? There are other things out there to do. Do not be so stressed or depressed. You never know, this might be a push for you to greater cooler things in life. Who know, you might get world famous someday!!! :)
