Math = 1700 gone, plus 1400 open positions terminated = 3100 spots. When Target said "several thousand jobs" would be cut, they meant it, and this number sure seems close to spot on. Hopefully, they realize that uncertainty in future employment prospects is a sure fire way to trigger significant "brain drain," and this deep cut was/is the only one planned. But it would certainly be nice to see an announcement to that effect.

our SVP said that for now, it is done but things could shuffle in the coming months.
Layoffs are NOT over yet. Quit posting BS rumors. The big day was today, but more will be called in through the end of next week.
Wait, you are ANONYMOUSLY reposting something else posted TODAY? Why on earth would you do that? It's not like this is twitter and you even get credit for it . . .

There will likely be an additional few hundred cuts left this week, and a few thousand that will be lost and not filled through attrition over the next fiscal year. Shuffle and realign resources between the three prime HQ locations.
Are the layoffs OVER then for the time being? Does anyone have any inside information on whether this is true or not?
