Yes KARE 11 is reporting news.., but have some tact, class and compassion.. Its dumb local news with dumb predicable cliches.

Go find Brian, Jodee, Kathee, or John (Gregg for that matter). Interview them, or Roxanne and the board. Leave those severed to adjust and advance. Ask those responsible and photograph their lives. Leave the rest to accept and define their futures.
Indeed it is news, but that doesn't excuse the disregard of the camera person trying to take pictures of people who don't want to be front page news on a horrible day of their lives.
This large layoff is news. For too long, Target has maintained a "Minnesota Nice" image in the twin cities, as a benevolent employer. It's not true. Target Corp is not loyal to Minnesota, not loyal to its' "Team Members" and not loyal to its' stockholders. Upper management and the incompetant board have been feathering their nests at the expense of the employees for years, and the news organizations gave Target a free ride. I believe that for a long time, Target has institutionalized age discrimination. Why get rid of middle aged employees? Because that is where the experience, ethics, and history of the company resided. Get rid of the ethics and hire young people that you can bully.
I can't believe people are so insensitive they are shaming those who got laird out for being distressed by the cavalier attitude of three press. Could the offensive response be Kare 11 employees, I wonder. Talk about low class.
And if they were laid off they'll continue making more than you do for the next 15 weeks doing nothing, while positioning themselves to move into another job still far better than yours, and you'll continue to be a miserable asshole right? Not sure the apology needs to come from your side :-/
