Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Give them a boost

If someone you like and respect has begun let go, possibly one way you could help them out is a detailed recommendation on Linked In.

Huh, I've actually gotten two job offers purely based on recruiters reaching out to me based on my LinkedIn profile without me doing ANYTHING proactively. I can guarantee recruiters DO bother with it and EVERY time you get an interview scheduled, those people interviewing you will be looking at it too. Those who were so sarcastic about this post, probably should be worried about getting their next jobs. They seem to be living in the past. I do like the beer suggestion though.

Maybe you're an arrogant presumptive prick. Linked in sucks....and recruiters are dime a dozen. OF COURSE they peruse these sites.

I receive 2-3 emails a week from either recruiters from staffing companies or company recruiters in LinkedIn.

Maybe you're not skilled enough if LinkedIn isn't working for you.

Yeah, this social media nonsense is overrated. It's just a fad anyway.

Linked In is overrated. Most employers don't even bother with that site. Resume, references, etc....not a public website.
