There are a million of them and most have no experience in Finance. Our pyramids are too tall, as well. We have a lot of management that have no idea what their teams do. A lot of people are hired because of their "demographic" and because they have a degree in something non related to the financial world. We have too many leads. I have seven leads between me and the "president" of our building. WHY? None of them have come from Finance/Credit services, either.

I don't work in BI, I actually work with credit and guests. You have just summed up the climate at FRS/TCW. A degree in women's studies and a job at the fair one summer will get you a position in legal or compliance. We need to get back to pulling management from the experienced TMs that have worked with the guests for years.
Sounds like you work in BI or business systems. I'd agree that there are too many people in that building that have no idea about credit or any other financial product and have no business being there. That was a direct reflection of Greggs leadership style - it's not what you do or know, but how well and who's ass you have to kiss. Hopefully this round of layoffs can fix some of that.
