I heard this week that once again they are sending PM and BA roles to Target India. Clearly the PM function is something that Target doesn't care about or doesn't understand. If they need only a Project Coordinator who checks the boxes, yes, it makes sense to send some back-office person in India and not pay $360 an hour to an Accenture professional on site who demands first class on his way from NYC and a four star hotel stay. On the other hand, a PM has to be present to interact with the team and be a leader who tackles the tough issues on site. Anyways, the cost savings are obviously attractive, but it is a major pain a few months down the road.

Ha, good luck with that. We'd be better off just not doing the work instead of having to micromanage and redo every single thing that gets sent over there.
Somebody liked your post man, it surely deserves a bump here
Interesting. This was originally my response to a post and someone just copied and pasted it. Anyways, he/she is right! Why to India? cost!
Why India? I thought we are decreasing our presence over there due to all issues we had over time?
