while you are at it, Mr Cornell, get rid of the overseas Guest Contact centers...our guests can't get help from them and the calls are dropped to the internal phone reps anyway. We are paying for calls twice.

Target has way too many analysts, period. Too many project people and analysts telling the grunts how we should be doing our work even though they have never taken a call or waited on a guest.
They also have analytics branches in India. I wonder what rocket science they do over there
Sad thing is that no one sees that this is wrong. We've become so complacent as a company when it comes to caring about the TMs in the same country as our stores. Let's bankrupt the domestic employees who actually shop at Target because no one wants to stand up for us.
Some will be given the opportunity to relocate over there.
The new CIO is more of an offshore expert than Cornell is a layoff expert
Adding to TI would be a step in the wrong direction. So much overhead in managing work between India and Mpls... also LOTS of rework.
well..apparently those who are interested in expanding TI have never actually had to work with them. They quality check some of TCW's work and have messed it up to the point of quality having to be brought back to TCW. If Cornell does that..shame on him. How can anyone expect stores to do well when the ones who live in the COUNTRY where the stores are located have no employment.
I could not imagine moving my family to India.
I heard the same. Also that some may be offered a chance to transfer into a similar position for less.
Part of the discussion is actually expanding TI.
