Wishful thinking. You need to hold back a few scapegoats in case this 'new' strategy doesn't pan out.

John ... let him stay. Kathee and Jodee should be given a parachute* and shown the door.
*parachute as defined/constrained by existing contract, not more ... but less would be ok
The day Michael Francis left; that's when the snowball started rolling!
Kathee created a team of leaders who think that yelling loudly and being disrespectful to peers is an effective form of problem solving. She should be held accountable for such a poor culture.
What about our useless hr leader I jodie?

I'd cut them all, seriously. Enough is enough, they are all equally responsible for the mess with Triple G at the helm
Katheeeeee is just as incompetent as double GG. Time to give her the boot and start fresh.
Same kind of boost that we all got when Beth and triple G were let go last year.
Agreed that if both John and Kathee were let go, it would be a huge boost to morale. But, it's not going to happen, sadly. There is a reason why they are very high up there.
I'd start with letting both of them go, it would help the morale
John comes across as a nice guy but "even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while". It's better to bring in new leaders who are not tainted by the old and toxic culture.
John and team came up with the cost cutting plan--which increased the stock price. He's safe. Brian and board see value here.
A large majority of the cuts will be coming from Kathees team (aka Merch). Although she created the "complexity" in that department that's getting cut unfortunately.
