What are the rumors for non-exempts ? Don't respond "this is all of HQ" we know that. Just seeing if anyone has anything to share.

I too have heard rumors that India will pick up the transactional work of NEs and Es who have counterparts in India. In the area where I work, some of our counterparts lack leadership skills, and the timing of them working during our night would make it difficult, but not impossible, to stay in the loop on projects. On the other hand, some of them have a lot of drive and would stay up all night, if they thought they needed to do that to get the job done.

I think we all only know as much as you do. NE's handle a lot of executional work; I think as log as you're not either supporting an executive leader (a person that could get let go) or aren't on an ad hoc project based team then you should most likely be safe for next week's predicted layoff. in the months to come though I can't guarantee we won't be axed. rumors on this thread that NE positions are highly transferable and could all be picked up by Target India (Merch & TSS specialists)

I am sorry, but I don't think we are in any different situation than anyone else. The unfortunate part is that we are the least paid and suffer the worst financial consequences. I read in an earlier post that we don't even get the same severance package as everyone else, only the 1 wk for every year worked. I can only hope that isn't true but from other practices that Target has used in the past toward N.E.'s. I wouldn't be surprised. My heart and prayers go out to all of my Non-Exempt/hourly team. I pray for all of you that are laid off and all of you left to pick up the pieces.
