I have a lot of tuition reimbursement money accrued...does anyone know if I am eligible to receive that money in addition to a severance?

I don't owe any of the reimbursement now and it's been awhile but I thought I recalled reading of you leave on your own before your contract payout date you of course owe a portion of this back, however what I feel like I remember reading was if you are let you (ie layoffs) that the company would absorb the debt, I graduated in 2010 so things could have changed. Would seem pretty awful for them to make you pay that back if it was their choice to let you go.
