I can't say anything with 100% certainty, but if it makes anyone more comfortable I am close enough to this area in HQ and have not heard word one about this rumor. The amount of syncronization it would take to make that change and keep it perfectly quiet in HQ is too great. Of any of the cuts rumored on this site this one would amaze me the most if it came true.
