I heard the United way has to disband because it's funding source is being downsized.

Why the United Way has always had what many feel is an inherent "right" as an exception to the Target "no solicitation" policy is beyond me. I've always resented that one organization feels it can be "THE" charity. I've never supported--despite the "cult" pressure...and never will...with or without TGT! I give directly to charities I support..
I heard that they will cut funding completely. Be careful, there are a lot of rumors flying around though.
