Welcome to the real world. You aren't entitled to a job at any company. They have the right to let you go without giving out participation trophies.
What are you protesting, your right to sit on the gravy train for a few more years? To keep getting paid to run inefficient processes? Or to have lunch gossip statuses about who doesn't deserve their SGM job and how much you hate leadership statuses? For gods sake, reach down deep and have some guts about this, the free ride is over. Don't make an ass out of yourself.
Who gives a shit if anyone reads the fing layoff.com??? After we've been laid off??? Seriously? You think the higher-ups at Target care who is reading a stupid message board? Good god, you sound like my 75 year old father who think everyone I do on social media is part of my permanent file that is reviewed on a daily basis by the Target brass. Wear black if it makes you happy! I think it sends a message, not that it matters but it definitely shows solidarity. What else do we have at this point? Good f, people.

What message are you sending? That Target HQ employees are nothing but a bunch of whiney toddlers that throw a hissy fit when they don't get your way? News flash! This is business. As much as you hate it, Mr Corny reports directly to the board. The board's main goal: increase shareholder value. As much as you want to believe that Target cares about it's employees, guess what, they don't! Lay off (no pun intended!) the koolaid and get your head on straight. No lame "let's wear black" protest or "let's sit in the skyway w/ please help signs" is going to change what's probably already been decided weeks, maybe even months ago. At the end of the day, the world keeps spinning. Sorry to sound like a major b word but I've had enough of this evil place.
This could be a powerful symbol, think "Je suis Charlie" with the image of a pen. The naysayers and dull spirited can do what they want, they lumber that way regardless, I say the thought is inspiring and taking action, if only symbolic, is retaining some control.

Someone should find a skyway musician to play the Stones Paint it Black, all day, everyday in the skyway outside of TGT HQ. Have the Target employees tip the man or woman heavily.
I am proud to say I work at Target HQ in Mpls. But I would suggest that EVERYWORKER start wearing black on Monday, don't wait until Tuesday. All black if possible, but the black armbands are cool, too. This is the new Target, people are being laid off everyday, not just Termination Tuesday.

Just got back from the fabric store with a bag full of materials to sew black armbands -to signify mourning. Whether I'm terminated or not, I am in mourning. Paint it Black, indeed.
