Non Compete Contract

Does anyone know what the non compete contract says exactly? How do we know if we signed one? Could I work for a vendor as long as I wasn't the primary contact, but was still on Target's account?

You can't work for a vendor at Target for a certain period of time unless it's approved at a high enough level. For TTS that was the CIO. Of course if your job is outsourced and you are offered a job at that outsourcer cough TCS cough, they wave that particular requirement. But then you give up whatever severance you may have received.

At they layoffs in Feb, they addressed this directly. There's just a firm you have to submit. This is not something to sweat. Especially given the desire to keep jobs in MN.

I'm not a lawyer, but Most no competes to not hold up in court. No judge is going to say you can't support your family with the skill set you have. Non competes are generally a scare tactic. In addition, It would be bad form/press for TGT to go after anyone trying to support their family.

I am a manager, I do not recalling signing one. Does everyone have one?

If I recall, you can't work on the Target account at all. But could work with another retailer.
