Cobra benefits email

Did anyone else get an email about cobra benefits sent to their spouse only to have Target send a follow up email stating it was sent in error and should be disregarded?

Spouse got this mail and also works for target - was able to investigate the cause and found it was in fact an error on the part of the third party benefits administrator. Timing couldn't possibly have been worse. Unfortunately it doesn't mean I'm any more safe but anyone who got this can feel more comfortable that this was a genuine botch and not part of the pending cuts. Best of luck.

@74321. Your spouse should be one helleuva team member, 90 + review score, never heard anyone getting it...but sounds like he is safe

Recieved it. Not a manager, and didn't do anything with open enrollment as I don't use Targets horrible insurance.

For those that got the letter for your spouse, did you update your smoking status in last past month?

When did this email go out?

I think it was really triggered by updating your smoking status... If you didn't state whether or not you were a smoker during enrollment, it defaulted that you were a smoker... So I had to go in and update it a couple of weeks ago which is consistent what the email saying to disregard letter to my spouse (that it was sent in error and triggered by the smoking staus)still makes you wonder...does anyone think it more than bad timing???? And why would it be a cobra letter.. And my wife is not even on my plan

I got the letter and my husband works at target. I am freakin out more than my husband... If it is an error how horrible is that and the worst timing... So much anxiety

However my husband just received a huge score on his review above a 90 and he was told by by his director he is doing a great job... But you never know.

For those who got the letters ..are you managers?

Yes, I got it and I got an actual letter in the mail about it that was sent to my husband. Odd because our benefits are not even through Target.

I got that email and my spouse isn't on my benefits. They mentioned if your smoking status changed it was sent. I do think it was an error, though makes you think about the emails they have prepped on COBRA benefits for next week.
