Decision Formula

I hear there is some sort of decision formula that is applied to those at risk. Does anyone if there is a formula and if so, how is it applied.

HR makes the decisions and it's simply based on your job code. I'm sure a formula of some sort is used but your review score, tenure and overall like ability is not considered. Straight numbers homie.

Also interested to hear if anyone has heard about the higher ups decision making process for this, is it random by job title and pays no attention to the persons work record or is it more annual review score based. Also how high up are the people making these decisions...directors?vps? I'm wondering if the people making these layoff decisions even have any relationship with the people being let go?
