Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

I can't wait

I for one cannot wait for this transformation to happen. I don't know about other depts but TTS has way WAY too many people that know nothing about technology, act only as middle-men, and produce NOTHING of value. Their idea of getting things done is to setup meeting after meeting with technical people who are expected to figure out what they want for them. These people flourished under the previous "leadership" and look where we are now. No one can get anything done. Let's get this re-org show on the road so that we can start moving forward, minus all of the bloat.

Anonymous73657 is right on point. The COE team has a lot of rookies that is a fact. COE intake forms take months to complete. Updates on these requests are unacceptable, meaning, you never hear anything unless you ask. Emails sometimes take days for a response unless you go directly to someone. The COE team was one of the worse ideas ever, not the COE teams fault, but the person who decided to create this team (we all know who that was) it didn't work downtown why would it work here?

759- well said. Where is Jodee Kozlak hiding and as leader of HR? why is she not leading, communicating, or admitting her errors.

While I agree that HQ is overstaffed, not one person whose fault it really is will be let go. Yes the line for coffee is crazy at 9 am which makes you wonder how busy people really are but is it their fault? They got hired by someone, all this staff was approved by someone. I find it ironic that our "leadership" team running around bragging about the "transformation" is the same "leadership team" that got us into this mess. The EVP group, board of directors won't suffer at all. They are millionaires. The people who will suffer most have mortgages, kids in hockey, and a car payment. Yes it is probably necessary but it still sucks. And it sucks that with the exception of double g (60 million richer) and a couple others, the C Suite carries on. It breaks my heart.

Yah that sounds about right but what makes you think there going to get layoff the right people? They probably got good review scores under the last execs and the ones that did the work probably got low scores.

The Finance COE is a complete waste of money and a complete joke of rookies. How many analyst does it take to run one correct query? More than 7 in our COE. They need to erase the COE and put the analysts back in the departments they support so the rookies can learn the damn job. WORSE mistake ever besides Canada
