Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

IF A MANAGER THAT HIRES SOMEONE GETS A KICKBACK OF REFERRAL FEE. IS THAT A CONFLICT OF INTREST? AND YOU WORK DIRECTLY UNDER HIM/HER.

I have emails. So I am going first to local media, listen up,mr. Bell, then local HR. I appreciate your feedback.

I wrote post 70696, the reality is that even calling listen up, not much would really happen. By principle it should be reported but that is really sticking your neck out. my guess is that listen up is being overwhelmed right now and they wouldn't give it high priority. HR is all tied up terminating and doesn't have much time to investigate something at this level. Not sure how well liked this manager is or his perceived value to the company by his boss, but it may be a deciding factor to let him go if it could communicated to the right person confidentially who doesn't like this guy. I'm in a fairly high manager position. All jobs and people are being reviewed. I trust this guys is as well. My guess is that his level of position will see layoffs in mid to late March, so you have a bit of time to try to figure out who to pass this information to. I wouldn't do anything if your job is secure. also let it go if it is a one time thing.

yes that would be and needs to be reported, if it can be proved. Is there any proof of nepotism? ie, is the person hired a common friend of the manager and the person who made the referral.
