If Heald or CCI really cared for the future of the institution or students, then they should take ANY and ALL funds that they have left and GIVE it to the buyer. I have seen companies offer $$$ to potential buyers to take the institutions out from being shut down and giving them some kind of a shot of a future.

Paying someone to acquire Heald would require something that CCi doesn't have: money.
522 - Good point. Now let's think of this.... If we can't even pay someone to take us, why would anyone buy us?
With the pending legal issues I dont think anyone would accept the CA schools - even with a cash incentive. The potential liability outweighs any benefit of owning the schools.
Isn't it clear that they don't care about the institute or students?
