Distribution can be tough. It is run of the mill warehouse work, the schedules can be brutal. 12 hour shifts on the weekends loading trailers, hot, cold, no holidays off except for Christmas. Not many amenities (none?) for the box throwers. Nonetheless the pay is exceptional for what is required. All in all a good job for the folks that have no college. I am certain that Amazon runs their hourly workers pretty hard. As does the other warehouses in the metro.
I hope you're right, but be careful, Amazon doesnt have a great reputation for DC working conditions or pay

Competition is always good for the labor market and especially our distribution workers who are our unsung heroes in moving our product. Maybe now Target will open their eyes and start treating them better!
They know we have a large talent pool over here - this is good for workers, will help with wages
