There should be no grace period. The longer the same sleazy behaviors continue, the more DOE is ultimately going to pay out in another bailout.

Zenith should be monitored very, very closely. There is no grace period for compliance. I think shops are a great idea. This acquisition occurred because CCI leaders rewarded non-compliance. Some of those leaders are now with Zenith. Zenith should be immediately shut down if they continue the same old CCI practices. Shops are the best way to do that.
Yes, ED should start shopping Zenith. They should actually do a lot more of that in general. They should also ask the NSA to check into Camden Kid. Guy's a troublemaker and fanatic.

What I don't understand is all this talk about non-profit status. Can a predatory business just become a non-profit with no change in its operations? Is it really that easy?
Monkey's right. There are those of us in Admissions who were really hoping things would change. If anything, the pressure and lack of concern about truth and standards has all gotten worse. Well, good thing the economy's improving. Those of us left with any sense of decency will leave the shop to the sleazebags. It's not a pleasant environment to work in anyway. We'll be better off even if we end up taking a cut in pay.
The fundamental mistake of the Zenith executive team is the fact they are allowing the old CCI crooks to run their show. Bad people with nasty tendencies don't change. Getting rid of them is the only way to save Zenith.

Ed isn't going to interfere for another ten years or so. So do whatever you need to do to bring in the prostitutes, felons, meth addicts and homeless. It's all for a good (non-profit) cause.
