Thread regarding Heald College layoffs

Did Heald disclose that there was a buyer during the hearing? I didn't catch that....

According to the Wall Street journal "During a hearing Friday, Heald disputed that there was no buyer for its schools and said it provided the commission with nonpublic information about the status of its sale."

I watched the meeting and 187 is correct. two things though: did the envelope contain a buyer's offer or merely a list of those interested? And why would you ask a public employee in a public meeting to open a nonpublic document? The Heald attorney obviously knew it couldn't be opened.

I was at the meeting. It was said there are NO buyers.

Where do people make this stuff up from?

Yes. The attorney pulled out a folder with all of the details for the upcoming sail, but the CSAC staff refused to look at it since they'd have to sign non-disclosure agreements under SEC regs.

There's a buyer...that's never been the issue. The problem is whether the sale can be concluded before CCi runs out money and time.
