The simple answer to work more is no. Just don't do it. You set that precedents they will start working you like it is a sweat shop.

i just love the new tagline: 'Less with Less'. I understand the concept however it's f****d up because leaders in TTS are adding another component...'Less with Less...but do it faster!'. my team has already been working 50-60 hours on average for 18 months and now we are supposed to work harder and faster with less? Morale is in the toilet.

Remember when Bob D was our CIO? He actually was getting the TTS area fired up again and the word was spreading we would be needing to hire engineers ..... not sure that is the case anymore and I think we will have a tough time getting the top notch IT people to come here for a few years.

My favorite is the second poster wevut people who were not good in technology so now we can get better employees. NO!!!!!!!! You are not paying for employees and no one wants to go to a sh$& show. You will get no one or worse employees so good luck. The IT community locally knows Targets reputation.

For the record, I was on the TTS BI team and there were many very good hard working people that were let go. A few that should have been, but the majority were talented and just were in the wrong place at the wrong time. If they had not inflated the head count a year ago, the BI team would not have been hit so hard.

Target sells cheap picture frames. Anonymous 89416 could frame it with a Room Essentials Back-Bevel Document Frame. It costs $13, which is a steal, especially considering the 10% employee discount. :-P

I think what Anonymous89486 was trying to say is you're that type of person whose life has gotten so meaningless that it shows in how you regard others misfortune.

If Target got rid of all the toxic people, looks like they forgot one... you sound like a real gem, 89416.

So Anonymous89486 thinks that there is no such thing as worthless workers... hmm interesting.

Fortunately this is not me. I have developed a great way to detect and stay away from toxic people that stab others in their backs and suck the life of careers.

Fortunately, I believe in meritocracy.

Fortunately, I am not Anonymous89486.

Translation...

"I am just so happy..." "worthless people"..."toxic people.."

It's just an internet comment, but you should really clip it out, put it in a frame, and hang it on your wall, and read it every day. This is you. This is your tiny, spiteful self telling the world this is your present form of joy, because your life is really that small.

I am just so happy so many worthless people were let go. I am sorry for those folks who really worked hard and delivered, but most of the people let go, especially in the Merchandising BI team in TTS, are worthless workers who are going to find a tough time putting together a document, an excel spreadsheet, a PowerPoint slide with some thought in it, or things as fundamental as a process workflow. I am also happy to see that all the arrogant people that thought themselves as invincible are out. Yes, target will be different, but if they really put some toughness in their recruiting and hiring process and bring in real valuable people, Target revenue and stock price will be up by 100% in the next decade. Time will tell. In the meantime, if you are hiring, please use common sense to detect the toxic people that make organizations fail and do not hire them.
