Thread regarding Anadarko Petroleum Corp. layoffs

INSANITY @ APC

Insanity @ APC. LETS TALK ABOUT PLACES TO CUT = THE HR DEPARTMENT! The morons in the HR department (what a joke of a department from what it use to be) continue to increase their headcount and rearrange/hide staff - when everyone else is being asked to cut back. So Noble cuts over a hundred jobs in Denver ..... We relocated an old HR manager back to Denver and now we have two HR managers in our office here?!? Makes you wonder who did WHAT to get that accomplished?!?

HR at APC has always sucked - never follow through, never call back - never tell you the truth - always manipulate. I think Denver is way over staffed and I'd lay off 75% there and 25% in Houston. I'd start with all new hires up to 5 years after firing all of HR........

Agree. I work with HR daily. What once was a hard working department is now filled with useless over paid incompetent people. When the leader isn't an HR person and was shoved out of the ops area - what do you expect??? But even worse lately - it's been completely downhill in the last year or so. Sadly, some great people have left and were then replaced with really substandard people.

HR is just as worthless in The Woodlands. I really don't know what all these people do. It takes forever and a day for them to respond. It's really pathetic. Every other dept I have dealt with have been great.

definirely not an upgrade for our already pathetic HR in Denver. We will now see a contest of who can get their nose up the farthest in Brads ass...,Ben or Patty! The whole office knows where the other HR ladies have their noses. lol.

Bring Patty Kerr back she's an old piece of leather and treats people like crap I know we are celebrating in Houston she's gone -Denver can have her. She's worse that that wicked witch on the wizard of Oz movie. Brad Holly has ruined Denver I hear people are jumping ship because of Management.

BS? lol. No one has proof on this site - but only pure speculation from seeing what's transpiring around us. So, You really think we need as many people in the Rockies now in this pricing environment? I don't know where 89726 got the number but Look around - Noble cuts over a hundred. Proportionately 250 would be conservative for us. (Totally agree on the HR stuff they are totally led by this misguided.)

What would make you think 250 people will be laid off in Denver? I understand if you are just making a point about HR, but don't stick a number out there in a statement if you don't have any proof. There are a lot of people that might not read through your BS.
