Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Have you left a glassdoor.com review yet?

If not, take 10 minutes to give your honest feedback! I did and it felt so good to get my thoughts out there. I won't bias anyone here with my thoughts, just leave your honest feedback for the world to see instead of posting stupid rumors here!

I agree with the last poster. You will notice bad Target reviews seem to get buried on glassdoor, weird how that works...... Almost like they are paid to go to the bottom.

I think the purpose of this forum is a bit different... Glassdoor is all dandy but keep in mind they make money by selling promo space to Target (and other companies), they sell stats, behavior patterns, etc. They do keep your identity private but all other info is fair game for them. You create content for them, that's why get a free pass on the reviews, the salary info is a dark pool, nobody knows how they got the numbers, the companies having relationship with Glassdoor have input on the salary level too. So overall, while I get your excitement, I'd be careful with what you do with them, it's kind of like Facebook, OK to use but you need to be extra careful. I like the fact that things roll quickly here, the topics change daily and you can feel the pulse of the group that it's typically guarded. Here, you can sense frustrations and fantasies people have, I know that a ton of stuff here is just bad, but here and there there is a gem that's useful and overall, I think I can get a fairly good idea about how my peers REALLY FEEL (fake FFF attitudes aside)...

Strongly agree with this approach. I was let go in March and have no specific grudge or beef with the Target. Target has treated me well over the past decade but based on the environment over the past year and what I hear currently is happening to my fellow team members that were left behind to clean up the mess, the outside world should know and understand when contemplating seeking a job/career with Target. The glory days are gone and what Brian and the executives left have to offer is more around pumping the stock price up then creating a new wave FFF that Target thrived in for 30+ years. Glassdoor is awesome and if you give 1 review you will be given membership for life, which helps you evaluate other companies. It is a win-win. You get to be honest about the current environment to help others decide on Target and you get insight to other companies and salary ranges.
