Hormel is alive and well
It was a horrific time for unions, I remember president Ronald Reagan busting the air traffic controllers unions and then local P9, how does a company, like Hormel makes a 30 million dollars profit in 86' and cuts workers' wages and benefits again? I'll tell ya what it is...GREED..pure and simple...it also didn't helped much with poor local union leadership and poor decision making and lack of negotiation skills. All culminated in a perfect storm where many hardworking loyal employees lost their jobs. A forgettable time for sure.
