This company has folded like a house of cards. Big-time pretenders. Oh gee... a down cycle in the oil & gas business. Who would of guessed? That has never happened before! Here is great idea. Lets layoff 1/3rd of our employees! Very creative of Noble's management. Great way to run your business. Most of you don't know this yet. Getting laid off from this outfit is the best thing that could happen to you. Their reputation is already mud... and it is going to get worse. Nobody will work for them when things improve. These poor decisions carry long lasting ramifications.

I heard they will let everyone go and hire back all the contractors they let go a few months ago and that they are all in on it.
Unfortunately - rumors run rampant when there is no transparency.... Since the original communication on Jan 22nd - Employees have been left hanging - with their lives on hold. Updates would have been nice.
Yeah, because noble is the only oil company laying people off.... Everybody is laying people off and every company does this when there is a downturn. Search any other oil company on this site. I know someone at Samson in Denver, they laid off 40% of their people. Encana and anadarko are laying off, dcp is too. Everybody is! I'm one of those that is at risk of being let go this week and I'm nervous but im not bitter. It is what it is. Being an angry asshole doesn't help anything. And by the way, I'm pretty sure all these oil and gas companies will have no problem hiring people when the economy turns around.
Where are you getting your 1/3 number? Are you a L2 with insider information? If so, please share.
