Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

It's sad we have to resort to this

People are resourceful and find ways to share knowledge if the corporation withholds it from us. Management should know that lack of leadership and transparency will lead to rumors so why not squash it by stepping up and providing your employees with a clear message. I wonder what irreparable harm has been done to employee morale that will continue to plague the company long after the layoff is complete. How many people have already decided to move on even if they are retained after the dust settles.

Most peer companies are only cutting 10% - not the 30% Noble is cutting. The slow torture to the employees is so stressful.....but I'm sure they were hoping people would just leave....and don't care. So sad. They grew to fast (bad management/no foresight) and now the employees get to pay the price.
