Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

April 7 layoffs - TTS

I'm not in TTS, but members of my team asked about next week's rumored layoffs as there were concerns over busting out butts for a project only to have people let go. Higher up disclosed that our team wouldn't be affected. Mentioned that TTS is a likely target.

Here is a quote from my outplacement meeting (part of severance) from another laid-off comrade. This person was completely surprised - thought she was "safe."

I wasn't concerned about the layoffs, until I found myself getting laid off.

Nobody is safe - expect the worst and hope for the best!

TTS layoffs - would anyone notice? I don't work with them much but from the few interactions, I am not going miss them. A lot of lip service but no actions. I am surprised that didn't happen last month.

April 7th's the next BIG date for more lay-offs I've heard? Aaaah, "backstabbers" at the workplace don't usually "forewarn" you, they just do it to step on you onto the next rung of the corporate ladder...that wet substance on your face is them pissing on you from a rung higher than you...Best of luck ya'll!!!

Sure they said the same thing to .com last year. We are changing our model but there won't be an impact to people. Two months later cut half the department. So go ahead and believe what you are told. Just remember before some stabs you in the back they usually forewarn you.......
