How would that affect Collections? Early stage isn't outsourced to agencies - yet. But a few years ago, they started outsourcing Recoveries to agencies as well as downsizing the staff in Minneapolis. Folks there are nervous (as they have been for the past few years.)
It would be nice if they brought everything "back home" to Minnesota and stop outsourcing everything to other states. I realize Arizona and the Dakotas can be cheaper deals, but come on. If you're going to have Senior level reps on the phone (who spend time on the phone cleaning up after India anyway), pay them a little bit more to have the Minneapolis reps on the phone. Another brilliant idea? Grab some Vets who need some jobs and give them those 1st level jobs instead of farming them out to India. They'd be more than appreciated. Working part time (no benefits) would be a win-win-win-win-win.
Well...except for Tempe, the Dakotas, and India.
Rumors swirling about around FRS and the former TNB are that TD is looking to purchase their services - instead of having it be an operating expense for the banking relationship, they will just take over. That would just be the credit card products. The rest of FRS would conceivably remain as is. I would further guess that the debit card would go away since the new loyalty card gives a similar benefit and not tied to a checking account. All speculation, but it would make sense since credit has not been a KEI for years now.
What do we have there?
