Seems like you'd only need a fraction of HR to handle a fraction of the HQ population. Same with OE and recruiting. We need to recruit better, not more.

Because hr is too valuable to touch, they make things happen and get things done
TGT will always need HR recruiters to snatch all those naive college grads. Who else is gonna phase out older employees? It's a sneaky and unethical way of pushing out older workers.
Yesterday's cuts were cleanup. I have/had friends in various sections of HR and last week was equally harsh. There was shared pain. To deny is to be ignorant if all facts.

HR and OE and groups like them have always favored quantity over quality. Have a job that needs talent? Throw 3 people with no background at it and then congratulate yourselves on it.
