I was shocked and frustrated to see CE0 promoting his own business on LinkedIN while Avaya is struggling so hard. I had been thinking of starting my own business (consulting or retail) for a while but I had always been hesitant that company policy might not allow it and that I could be an easy target to let go. What are your thoughts on CE0's focus on side business? Please share some thoughts on starting own business while keeping 9-5 job (until one can completely rely on it).

He opened it before he worked here. He owns and doesn’t operate it day to day. It employs local people. What’s your problem? Get off this forum and go start the business you want to run. And what a hypocrite you want the same thing, and you sh1t on this guy. Total troll, loser.
As long as it doesn’t compete I. The same space or infringe on your ability to do the job they’re paying you for, what does it matter.
Go and set it up and get that hustle going.
