All departments are affected…nobody is safe. If you are in claims/billing start looking. If you are in a role that can be off shored or your role goes from no work for a few weeks to overload for the other half of the month your role is on the chopping block. VP’s and Directors are not saying much because they don’t want to loose their position until they can make a move in first and need teams prop up their programs.

Just try and get an answer to a Rx issue as a member! It's a joke - transfer after transfer and no one ever fixes the root cause on issues. The ELT member running this division needs to go!
Claims have been offshore for years dedicated accounts stayed onshore. It was announced in 2024 that there would be 1200 openings with carelon offshore at the start of 2025. If you look at job postings ecob, appeals, customer service all have openings offshore.
I think something is going on! I was trying to submit an authorization and their website glitched. I made a call for service and was transferred to a call center in India. That rep was trying to get me to call a medical assistance number and I had to explain to him that a glitch with the Carelon computer system has nothing to do with the medical assistance department. Anything to save money.....foolish outsourcing.

Such bs! How is it even legal for claims to go offshore to India! Are members and providers aware that offshore is processing their claims. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen
