Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Been thinking ...

I've been thinking about the recent layoffs and constant turnover. What really bothers me is that the leaders and people left in my area at Allstate don’t seem to have much to offer, and the new leaders and people from NatGen aren’t inspiring at all. Honestly, I’m starting to wish I had been paid to leave because I’m not sure I want to keep working in this environment. Anyone else feel the same?

Literally everyone mate. ANI is getting shut down, that is why Healy left and why they put in place the mo--nic yess man that is Steve McK. The ANI leadership especially is fu--ing useless. Senior Managers upwards with only a few exceptions are completely useless a--holes. Some even more gaping than others...... don't even get me started on he ones whose names rhyme with certains beverages.

Any word of layoffs coming up in claims?

My experience with layoffs is that the people who make the most money and are over 50 are usually the first ones to get hit, regardless of capability or performance. Allstate leadership is a joke overall, but there are still some good ones around. My advice is to start looking now...and maybe stay away from the insurance industry. The minute you start wanting a package, you should endeavor to improve your life with a better job. It's on you, my friend.

I’d jump at a "payout" right now. Service continues to get worse and worse … enough said

Word of advice? Don't start a post with "I've been thinking". It just invites snark at your expense.

No, but you can leave. Probably not much of a loss.
